OSHAWA – On Tuesday January 17th, Jerry J. Ouellette MPP, Oshawa presented the Fifth Annual Charity Hockey Challenge with Queens Park Legiskaters versus the Durham Regional Police.

Advertisements and media advisories were issued indicating that special guests Johnny Bower and Bobby Baun would be on hand to sign autographs and take part in photo-ops.

Due to the severe weather and freezing rain the former Toronto Maple Leafs were unable to attend the event. “I would like to extend my sincere apologies, offered Jerry Ouellette MPP Oshawa. I know that even some of the MPPs experienced extreme difficulty in driving from Toronto to arrive for the game on time.”

“I will be working with the Maple Leafs’ organization to see if I can arrange an alternative opportunity to bring Johnny Bauer and Bobby Baun to Oshawa”, added Mr. Ouellette.
