OUELLETTE CONGRATULATES GM OSHAWA

OSHAWA - Jerry Ouellette, MPP Oshawa, would like to congratulate GM Oshawa on today’s investment announcement.

General Motors of Canada Limited announced a $2.5 billion reinvestment in GM’s Canadian operations.

Mr. Ouellette says, “This is a fantastic declaration and I would like to commend all players on this great movement forward for the auto industry, including CAW workers, General Motors and government of all stripes.”

GM’s investment represents the largest and most comprehensive automotive investment in Canadian history. The corporation’s “Beacon Project” investments will strengthen automotive engineering, research and development and manufacturing capabilities in Canada.

Mr. Ouellette goes on to say, “This will go a long way to enshrining Ontario’s education and automotive sectors as world leaders in auto technology.”
